Shaded : La Dolce Vita
An on going project to capture a different version of "La Dolce Vita" nowadays in Italy. I wonder if it really existed for all Italians, or was it just for some of them that were able to restyle themselves after their architecture, art, and history. Since migration has increased in the past years, in particular people coming from Africa, there is a lot of tension right now. Some Italians are bothered by this fact, and politicians (sounds familiar?) from the extreme right are exploiting it for their advantage. They feel that their way of living is in danger because of this. Also they attribute economic problems, security, and lack of jobs to this, when in fact, it is not true at all. Since I believe that migration is part of who we are as individuals, and that each of us share same desires such as a better life, future, jobs, education, peace, I want to make this contrast of "La Dolce Vita" between Italian and migrants because somehow to me means hope.
